Welcome to Daily Language Input ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and services at dailylanguageinput.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are at least 13 years old and have the legal authority to agree to these Terms in your jurisdiction. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account using Google sign-in (via Supabase). You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and remain responsible for all activity under your account.
3. Use of the Service
You agree not to use the Service for illegal or unauthorized purposes, not to interfere with or disrupt the Service, and not to attempt to access accounts or data that do not belong to you. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you are violating these Terms or harming the Service or other users.
4. Learning Content and User Data
The Service allows you to track YouTube videos, record vocabulary terms, and store notes and progress. You are responsible for the content you add and agree not to submit illegal, abusive, or infringing content. We do not claim ownership of your learning content, but you grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to operate and improve the Service.
5. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers such as YouTube, Supabase, and Vercel. Your use of YouTube content is also governed by YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their policies.
6. Intellectual Property
We (or our licensors) own all rights to the Service, including its design, code, and branding. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial language learning. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or sell any part of the Service without our permission.
7. Beta Features and Changes
Daily Language Input is under active development. We may change, add, or remove features at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
8. Fees and Payments
Currently, the Service may be offered for free. We may introduce paid plans in the future and will clearly describe any pricing and billing terms at that time.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion if we believe you are violating these Terms or harming the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that specific learning outcomes will be achieved. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim (if any) or USD $50.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in California, USA.

Daily Language Input ("we," "us," or "our") provides tools that help learners structure their foreign language listening practice. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at dailylanguageinput.com (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect

We collect information you directly submit, including:
- Account information: Email address (via Google OAuth through Supabase)
- Learning activity: Videos you add, vocabulary terms you record, block sizes, and progress
- Notes or definitions you create
1.2. Information Collected Automatically
We may automatically collect:
- Authentication cookies from Supabase (required to keep you logged in)
- Usage logs such as pages visited and timestamps
- Device and browser information (standard web logs)
- YouTube playback data via the YouTube Player API
1.3. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on the following services to operate the Service:
- Supabase — authentication, Postgres database, and storage
- Vercel — hosting and optional analytics
- YouTube — embedded video playback
We do not sell your personal data.
2. How We Use Your Information

- Save your vocabulary terms, definitions, block sizes, and progress
- Load and play the YouTube videos you add
- Improve the stability and performance of the Service

Supabase authentication cookies required to keep you logged in.
Local Storage
Used for simple preferences like default block size when logged out.
Third-Party Cookies
YouTube may set cookies for embedded playback depending on your region. Vercel Analytics (if enabled) uses privacy-friendly metrics without tracking across sites.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
For EU/UK users, we display a cookie consent banner where required.
4. How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:
- Secure hosting on Vercel
- Encrypted data storage via Supabase
- Row-Level Security (RLS) to isolate user data
- TLS encryption for all traffic
No online service is perfectly secure, but we aim to protect your data to the best of our ability.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete:
- Your account information
- Your videos, vocabulary terms, and progress records
Some anonymized or aggregated data may remain for analytics purposes.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 13. If we discover that a user under 13 has created an account, we will remove it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have the right to:

- Request deletion
